We are looking for someone who lives, eats, sleeps soccer.
Reporting to our Content Manager, the SOCCER.COM Social Media Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing the social editorial calendar, real-time interaction with our passionate global fans across all major social platforms, and monitoring performance and trends to optimize strategy.
Must be a well-organized, strong communicator with a sound understanding of established and emerging social media channels. Experience playing competitive soccer and a comprehensive knowledge of the world's most popular teams, players and leagues is vital. We need someone that can hit the ground running! Knowledge of some SEO best practices is also helpful but not a requirement (we can teach).
Responsibilities:
Community Management ?
o Engage customers across our growing social community and build relationships with brand advocates.
o Maintain owned social channels ? includes managing account access, updating account settings, etc.
o Collaborate with in-house customer service and sales teams to escalate complaints and inquiries.
Content Development
o Manage social editorial calendar within project management tool and collaborate with in-house creative team to produce social content (videos, GIFs, graphics, photos, etc.).
o Stay up-to-date on trending soccer stories and identify opportunities for real-time social content.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all social content aligns with marketing goals and brand standards.
Monitoring & Reporting
o Actively follow competitors and industry to identify trends and topics that are right for SOCCER.COM.
o Develop social channel reporting for baseline performance of channels and key campaigns.
o Mine audience insights and make recommendations for content and campaigns based on findings.
Other
o Must be able to prioritize requests and manage expectations; be adept at multi-tasking.
o Has a PASSION FOR SOCCER and tuned in to the evolution of social media marketing.
o Comes to the table with new, innovative ideas.
o Has a willingness to learn and assist with paid social strategy and other marketing needs.
o Team player who is receptive to feedback and wants to grow.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
