Nursing Assistant II - Emergency Department Hillsborough Campus

UNC Health Care Hillsborough Campus is a new community hospital which is an extension of UNC Medical Center focusing on many of our elective surgical programs. These programs are Joints, Spine, Ophthalmology, Urology, Benign Gynecology, and General Surgery. The 83- bed facility combines a community hospital culture with the innovative procedures and care for which the UNC Medical Center is known. The Hillsborough Campus includes the Medical Office Building, Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery and Inpatient Services, as well as support services to provide integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.
The Emergency Department at Hillsborough Campus is a 10-bed unit and delivers care for patients presenting with minor illnesses/injuries to critical / trauma injuries. Critical / traumatic injuries may require stabilization and potential transport to the Main ED/Trauma Level 1 Medical Center at UNC Hospitals. The NA II will provide direct patient care under the direction of the RN to a diverse patient population in a community hospital setting. The NA II in this position must also possess excellent communication and customer service skills with a team approach. Basic knowledge and skills utilizing various computer systems is preferred.
This position is for 36 hours /week working 12 hour shifts (days, nights and weekends), but the need at this time is primarily for nights (7pm-7:30am).
Requires high school diploma and six months related nursing assistant experience. Must be listed as NA I with the NC Dept. of Health and Human Services. Must also be listed as NA II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Must be Healthcare Provider or BLS Provider certified. Must be fluent in verbal and written English language. Capability to develop computer skills if not competent.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
