Senior Accountant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger balances
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for 3 affiliated entities with 11 locations
  • Prepare monthly billing to clients
  • Prepare or supervise bi-monthly payroll preparation for 16 departments
  • Manage timely collection of accounts receivable
  • Supervise sales tax and property tax reporting in multiple states
  • Manage health insurance premium calculations and reconciliations
  • Assist with budget preparation and analysis
  • Special projects
  • Research and resolve problems
  • Maintain accurate, organized books and records
  • Maintain professional communication with co-workers
  • Provide support to Director of Finance
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Various administrative tasks, including local errands to pick up mail, drop packages, and other accounting-related tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting preferred
  • 4+ years accounting experience in public/private accounting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced level of expertise in Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting system

The starting salary for this position is $50,000 plus benefits.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
