Imaging Support Services-Hillsborough

Scheduled Work Hours: Days-M-F 9:00a-5:30p (Hours and Days are subject to change based on department need).

The Administrative Associate is responsible for participating in effective and efficient daily operations of Imaging Support Services in the Department of Imaging/Radiology to include, but not limited to: being a team player in Imaging Support; work closely with the Administrative Support Supervisors; Complies with all UNCHCS corporate policies, HIPAA regulatory guidelines and departmental policies regarding the privacy and confidentiality of patient and personnel information, answers and directs telephone calls from patients and/or visitors, establishing priorities; CD burning of patients images for outside facilities and patients; importing outside facility images for the purposes of continued patient care, into the UNC PACS System; send/receiving faxes; answering multiple phone lines; helping internal & external customers with questions; patient check-in for US, X-Ray (adult & pediatrics), CT, QDR, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, MRI & VIR; coordinate/support all modalities schedule; schedule add-on CT s and MRI s; and providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians and other UNC Health Care staff.

Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft applications (i. e.: Word, Outlook, Excel) are required. The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment (i. e.: answer multiple phone lines while working on computer related task) is required. Prior experience in providing input to create and monitor metrics for team productivity and quality standards and experience in participation of quality improvement initiatives is desired. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.


Requires high school diploma and three years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
