Survey CAD Technician I

Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a highly motivated Survey CAD Technician to work in our Survey department in our Hillsborough office.
Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:
Download and process field data in Trimble Business Center (TBC), Spectra Office, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Interpret and plot record deeds and plats for all types of property surveys
Prepare all types of surveying plats and drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field
Prepare topographic survey drawing/plats
Perform stakeout calculations for construction and roadway projects
Prepare as-built record drawings for agency approvals
Associates degree preferred with 1+ years of experience, but would consider someone with a high school diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience
Proficient in MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ability to compute, process and map field data
Experience with Trimble Business Center/ Spectra Office and good understanding of GPS techniques a plus
Understanding of surveying laws and state standards for boundary analysis and computations
Proficiency in Microsoft office and Google Earth

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
